OK - to me the most important change in 2009 is the addition of standard stability control - which is a MUST for me and greatly improves safety for the Tacoma (as well as some additional airbags). The available V6 engine has plenty of power for hauling and for driving off road. Seating in the front is very comfortable, and in the rear is good. I have always like the instrument panel layout with the Tacoma, and am glad to see the aux jack on the stereo which allows me to bring my entire music selection with me care of my iPod (or any other MP3 player). A 6 disc CD changer is available, but in my opinion, I would take that money and buy an iPod instead and have access to all of my music (rather than just 6 CDs...).
Bed size for cargo is good, and I would strongly encourage getting a bedliner that covers over the rail. This ensures that the bed of your new Tacoma stays in excellent condition, and when the day comes that you want to sell it as a used truck, you will get a better price. Speaking of which, the resale value of these trucks is phenomenal!
