Cincinnati Mazda owners can sigh in relief, thanks to Mazda Motor Corporation's decision to install brake override systems in new models. After all the recall problems Toyota has been facing, Mazda wants their customers to know they are playing it safe. There haven't been any problems with the Mazda line-up, as mentioned this is a preventative fix to ensure the highest degree of safety and reliability.
Toyota is now installing a similar override system in its new cars worldwide. In fact all future vehicles worldwide will be equipped with this technology just like air-bags or anti-lock brakes. Nissan vehicles already are equipped with this override system and more manufactures are considering it like Honda and Subaru.
This new technology will give the brakes priority if the accelerator and brake pedals are simultaneously depressed. No word yet on which new models will get this technology first, but there are plenty of shiny new Mazda's at our greater Cincinnati Mazda dealer that are sure to please any driver.
