If you want to take advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program - act FAST!  Per the bill signed in Congress, the "Cash for Clunkers" or CARS program was funded for 1 billion dollars, and when the money is spent, the program ends.  Many experts in the industry are speculating that the funds will be spent before the end of August, and various reports online are indicating that a tremendous amount of deals have already been closed and are in queue to be funded by the government.

Cash for Clunkers Information Ohio Kentucky Indiana

Are you ready?  This Friday, July 24th, will be the first day that you can head to one of our Jeff Wyler dealerships in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana and trade-in your qualifying "cash for clunkers" per NHTSA.  Remember that the original bill was signed into law by President Obama in late June, and the final "rules" will be published after careful review by NHTSA's lawyers by Friday.

There have been several folks advertising about this program recently, but be wary of any messages that imply that "every" clunker qualifies.  Call us at one of our dealerships (after clicking one of the links below) and we can assist you in finding out if your "clunker" trade-in qualifies, and for how much.  We are keeping up to date with the latest cash for clunkers information, and are working hard to ensure that you can take advantage of this program.

Make sure to ask about current manufacturer incentives that are in addition to the cash for clunkers voucher.  One great example is the 09 Kia Spectra that has a $3500 rebate (July 2009), take that, add on the $4500 cash for clunkers rebate (if you qualify) and you have ~59% discount off of MSRP - you truly must act fast to take advantage of this!  Hyundai has a July rebate of $1500 on the 09 Hyundai Accent, add that to a $4500 cash for clunkers rebate (if you qualify) and you have ~40% discount from MSRP - again, a great deal!  Experts are estimating that the funds for this program will by spent by Labor Day, so you need to act sooner rather than later to ensure you can take advantage of this program.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox at our Cincinnati & Dayton Chevy Dealerships

With a new design and significant improvements, the new 2010 Chevrolet Equinox Cincinnati arrived at our Jeff Wyler Eastgate Chevrolet and Jeff Wyler Springfield Chevrolet dealerships.  The exterior now has a more angular look and a sleeker profile.  The overall size is similar in size to the 09 Chevy Equinox.  You will note the dual cockpit interior design which was inspired by the Chevrolet Malibu.  More standard features have been added, including OnStar assistance, XM Satellite radio and blue hued ambient lighting.  There are now even more options available, including Bluetooth connectivity, USB audio input jack, hard drive radio, and a rear seat DVD entertainment system with headrest mounted screens.  Even more cool - an optional remote control starting system is available that will also activate the climate system and optional heated seats depending on the outside temperature!

What is really impressive is the 4 cylinder Ecotec engine.  Now equipped with direct injection technology, the Ecotec has 182 horsepower, and boasts a 25% improvement in fuel economy (GM estimates 21 city and 30 mpg highway).  That means much fewer trips to the gas station while driving the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox around Cincinnati and Dayton, and all of Ohio!

Jeff Wyler Eastgate Automall welcomed Stacy Compton and the Wyler Racing team today for a "meet and greet" with our local fans and customers, as well as to host a picnic lunch.  Onsite were one of the Jeff Wyler Toyota racing trucks, the race team semi hauler, as well as our driver Stacy Compton who signed autographs and had his picture taken with many of the same fans who will be attending the race at Kentucky Speedway this Saturday night.  Bill "Seg" Dennison of 700 WLW was also present to meet local fans as well as to interview Stacy.  A great picnic lunch was catered for all who attended, and all who attended had FUN!  Good luck this Saturday night to Stacy and his supporting team!

Jeff Wyler continues to prepare to be the Cash for Clunkers Ohio dealers that you want to work with!  Each of our Ohio dealerships, including our Cincinnati Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda, Nissan, Kia, Buick, Pontiac, Chrysler, and Jeep dealers, are prepared to answer any questions you have, as well as ensure that you take advantage of not only the CARS voucher (if you qualify), but also the sales tax deduction for your federal taxes, and also how to take advantage of manufacturer rebates and incentives and other government credits such as the hybrid tax credit.  Our greater Dayton Springfield Chevy, Toyota, Kia, Hyundai and Dodge is already working with multiple folks on using this program as soon as it starts in late July.  

Two of the hottest brands for questions about the Car Allowance Rebate System include Toyota and Honda.  Our greater Louisville Toyota dealer serving Kentucky and Indiana, Jeff Wyler Clarksville Toyota, has been handling multiple calls every day, especially on the New Toyota Prius.  Our Kentucky Honda dealers in Frankfort (serving Lexington) and Florence (serving greater Cincinnati) are also getting lots of Cash for Clunkers calls, with a lot of interest in the new 2010 Honda Insight hybrid.  The hybrid vehicles are getting a lot of interest as they have such a high combined MPG that they help qualify for the maximum Cash for Clunkers voucher, plus they are eligible for the Federal Hybrid vehicle tax credit.

Cincinnati OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics Dealer

Jeff Wyler is proud to be a certified GM Cincinnati OnStar vehicle diagnostics dealer, as well as a Dayton OnStar vehicle diagnostics dealer.  OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics (OVD) is FREE to all customers that own a GM vehicle equipped with OnStar.

Here is what you do.  Press the blue OnStar button in your vehicle, and ask the advisor to make Jeff Wyler your "OVD dealer of choice".  Your vehicle will then be continuously monitored by OnStar on the following systems:

1)  Engine and/or transmission 

2)  Emissions

3)  Air Bags

4)  Stabilitrak (electronic stability control)

5)  (ABS) anti-lock brakes

6)  OnStar

Each month you will receive a report from OnStar detailing the diagnostics on your GM vehicle.  As your preferred Cincinnati and Dayton GM service dealer, Jeff Wyler will receive a notice when:

1) Odometer readings indicate that your GM vehicle needs scheduled maintenance

2) Information about your oil life (less than 20%)

3)  Recall notices (very important!)

4)  Tire rotation reminders
